Alstar Group is currently seeking experienced Material Coordinator to work at one of our Northeastern BC long-term field sites. Successful candidates will be responsible for receiving and coordinating materials for this site. What we're looking for from you - If this describes you, we'd love to meet

  • Must be very organized
  • Experience in procurement and materials control and coordination roles, preferably in a construction environment is an asset
  • Good computer skills
  • Five years as parts technician or higher would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience in pressure piping and fabrication considered an asset
  • QC administrative experience considered an asset
  • High school diploma
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all internal and external contacts
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Material Tracking Reports and Material Receiving Reports
  • Standard First Aid - Level C
  • H2S Alive
  • CSO
  • Skid steer and Telehandler tickets and operate at a competent level

Where our projects are located:

  • Our projects happen in 4 major sites in Western Canada, which include locations like Conklin AB, Grande Prairie AB, Whitecourt AB and Fort St. John BC.
  • You will be required to travel on your own, by vehicle. Alstar does provide a flat rate to cover travel

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Properly coordinate owner supplied materials
  • Preservation and tracking of material
  • Determine and direct material transfer
  • Coordination of materials for the job site
  • Control and monitor daily changes to material needs to meet production due dates
  • Operate equipment (skid steer and Telehandler)
