In support of this acquisition, "BP Canada" has an exciting career opportunity for a Cost Accountant based out of our Edmonton office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accounting, analysis, and review of all manufacturing-related expenses.
  • Analysis of department expenses and capital spending.
  • Standard cost variances analysis.
  • Posting manufacturing costs on a daily basis.
  • Analysis of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Completes daily, monthly, and annual ledger processes.
  • Plan and schedule annual and cyclical inventory counts.
  • Reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Troubleshoot raw material issues.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Enrolled in an accounting designation, CMA or CGA.
  • Degree/diploma in accounting.
  • 5 years or more of experience. Preference will be given to candidates with manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office software).
