Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a full-stack developer, would compromise Angular skills for solid Java development skills (multithreading and data structures) with SQL and Kafka/MQ/ skills. The application can process up to 2 million trades a day, so multi-threading and the ability to write optimal code and adherence to best practices is critical.

Equally important as technical skills is the ability to communicate, work well as a team player, and the ability to drive initiatives and own deliverables end-to-end.


Responsibilities:

Strong technical background, experience with Software Development Lifecycle and experience managing stakeholders in a global and dynamic environment.

• Experience designing and developing cloud native applications with a microservices architecture running on Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes platform

• 5+ years of experience in application development using Java, SQL and at least one messaging platform (MQ/ TIBCO/ Kafka/ Solace)

• 5+ years of experience developing web applications in JavaScript, Angular, HTML and CSS

Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running

• Demonstrated technical leadership skills with a passion to explore emerging technologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to innovate and a can-do attitude

• Quick learner with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, adapt to changing requirements and deal with ambiguity without impacting delivery.



Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as full stack developer, implementing enterprise applications using .NET and related technologies.
  • Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes platform and running .Net applications in Linux cloud-based environments is a plus
  • Should have spent at least 85% of time coding in his/her past engagement
  • Experience in end to end project life cycle including quality assurance aspects in Agile development/Extreme programming processes


Skills:

  • Strong hands on core java knowledge with multi-threading, concurrency, collections etc.
  • Smart and flexible to work on a critical application
  • Experience of Agile development and scrums
  • Strong knowledge on Core Java(preferred version 8), Spring(Core, MVC, JDBC), Hibernate/JDBC/JPA/ORM, JSON, Oracle.
  • Must possess strong experience in SQL (Tweaking SQL Queries, tuning etc)



It would be great if you also had:

  • Detail-oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents
  • Good time management skills – Ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once
  • Strong desire to understand and learn domain.
  • Experience in a financial services/banking industry
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail/ prioritize tasks.
