Responsibilities:
  • Provide a range of assessment and counseling services to determine participant eligibility and employment needs.
  • Prepare participants for employment through pre-employment activities and consultation with employers.
  • Deliver quality service within a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Support in both the Cambridge and Kitchener locations as needed.
  • Conduct follow-ups and support job matches for legacy clients.
  • Actively recruit employers and seek out job matching and job placement opportunities.
  • Maintain an intake caseload as determined annually.
  • Administer Ministry standardized Common Assessment Tool (CAT) and EmployNext Action Planning Tool (APT).
  • Develop an Employment Action Plan and case manage clients using relevant systems.
  • Ensure accurate information is entered in required systems within 24 hours.
  • Provide quality support through coaching, mentoring, and assisting both employers and clients during job search, application, and hiring processes.
  • Monitor placements and provide post-employment support as needed.
  • Assist with job fairs and the development and delivery of various employment-based workshops.
  • Attend and actively engage in various internal and external meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:
  • Completion of Community College degree/diploma in Human Services.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in French as a 2nd Language is an asset.
  • Acceptable Police Check.
  • 2-3 years experience in employment or social services.

Additional Requirements:
