Your role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and be part of a company that values innovation, collaboration and growth.

As the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for project accounting, financial monitoring and budgeting/forecasting activities. You will also oversee the Company’s administrative functions.

You will lead with enthusiasm – attracting, retaining, motivating, and inspiring your team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of project accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Oversee the administration function within the company, including office operations and lease negotiations, ensuring operational efficiency and excellent customer service.
  • Review and investigate variances, including actual to budgeted results, and forecasts, together with relevant financial and operational analyses to support all reporting requirements.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collaborate with the business units, departments and senior management to develop fiscal year budgets and forecasts to meet business goals.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to provide insights to senior management to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Work with the Financial Reporting team to ensure timely, complete and accurate delivery of financial information and results for monthly and quarterly submissions.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the team to help them achieve growth and development.
  • Demonstrate and act as a role model and influencer of our values and cultural behaviours.
  • Motivate & inspire your team.
  • Participate in setting the strategy for the teams and ensure the team achieves its goals and objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls. Where applicable, propose improvements to internal controls.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as necessary.
  • Participate in special projects focused on improvement in reporting and analysis.
  • Become a trusted partner with operations.
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job, as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of a related and progressively responsible financial management role.
  • Professional accounting designation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring and supervising a team.
  • Experience in business analytics and metrics development.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Public accounting experience with a large to medium professional services firm is an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
