Who We Need

We are adding a Service Technician to our team in Mississauga. We are looking for an empathetic listener, curious problem solver, friendly communicator, and someone who genuinely likes to help people.

What You Will Do

Our clients put their trust in Motion to ensure that their mobility devices are safe and functioning correctly. Whether you are working at a client's home, in a local facility, or at our care centre, you are ready to take on the ownership of solving problems to make life accessible. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Diagnosing and repairing mobility devices.
  2. Delivering, installing, and repairing custom mobility equipment such as:
    • Manual wheelchairs
    • Rollators
    • Power wheelchairs
    • Stairlifts
    • Ceiling lifts
    • Vertical platform lifts
  3. Creating service orders and quotes in our NAV system.
  4. Assessing and troubleshooting client issues with their devices.
  5. Repairing manual and power devices and equipment onsite and in-store.
  6. Repairing electrical systems within mobility devices.
  7. Programming and setting up basic power and mobility equipment.
  8. Installing and repairing elevating products and solutions.
  9. Delivering exceptional Motion customer experiences.

Our service technicians are the face of our company, delivering outstanding customer experiences every day. You will build trusting relationships with our clients, ensuring that their needs are met and our objective to make life accessible is fulfilled. Flexibility and mobility are key as you will be travelling to clients' homes and facilities.

What You Bring

Technical skills: Previous experience in a customer service role, exposure to using diagnostic tools, electronic equipment, and completing mechanical repairs. Knowledge of mobility products is beneficial. You should be an avid troubleshooter who is innovative and efficient in your approach to solving problems.

Empathy: To provide our clients with the best Motion customer experience, we need someone empathetic to our clients' needs and circumstances. You can navigate any situation in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.

Additional Must-Have Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds to move or repair equipment and devices.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record; travel to client sites is required but a company vehicle will be provided.
  • A clean criminal background check and being bondable.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion to accommodate clients' needs.
