We are looking for a dynamic individual to join us in a sales role. The person should enjoy engaging with clients and is driven to identify new clients. Experience in minerals processing industry is preferred, but other technical industries like oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical will also be considered.


The position includes responsibility for product sales with a regional focus, tailored around the person's abilities. The position involves pursuing new opportunities in proven as well as creative ways including marketing initiatives such as webinars, seminars, and conference presentations.


The remuneration will be tailored to the successful candidate and will include a reward system for successful sales.


The Candidate

  1. Has a keen interest in sales and business development.
  2. 1-4 years of experience.
  3. Driven to identify new clients, willingness to talk to and engage with new clients.
  4. Ability to speak French/Spanish/Portuguese would be a significant advantage.
  5. Results-driven self-starter with a proven record in minerals industry-focused sales.
  6. Ability to understand and deliver on client's short term and long-term goals.
  7. Function well independently but also contributes to team projects.
  8. An individual who demonstrates the ability to network with relevant people.
  9. Ability to review information from various sources to uncover new opportunities and clients.
  10. High levels of energy and persistence.
  11. Willingness to take a risk and take responsibility for the outcome.
  12. Willingness and ability to travel.
  13. Tertiary qualification(s) in either Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical/Process Engineering or other relevant field and/or extensive experience in the minerals processing industry would be an asset.


Working environment

  • We are looking for a candidate living in the GTA/Mississauga/Oakville area for a hybrid role of 3-4 days in the office.

The Company

Molycop’s technology division specializes in advanced process control, instrumentation, engineering, software, and consulting services. We have a technically diverse and highly skilled team. We build strong relationships with our clients in the mining industry and provide take ownership of problems and provide solutions. We are continually working toward adding more clients to our portfolio, as well as expanding our product and services.


While a big part of our business revolves around existing operations, we also get involved with products from the very early stages during feasibility studies. Our market extends to all of Australia, Canada, South East Asia, Africa, the Americas and others.


The products include our minerals online measurement, instrumentation, advanced process control as well as cloud computing and consulting services. We aim to deliver turn-key solutions to clients that incorporate the complementing technologies that we offer. Our market consists mainly of the minerals processing industries, including gold and base metals. We are currently looking to expand to the coal mining and cement industry.
