We are currently looking to fill the following position:


Radio Frequency Hardware Designer


Under the supervision of the Hardware Director, the Radio Frequency Hardware Designer will assist in the design of radio frequency systems and the debugging of existing RF products. As part of a team, you will be asked to design various radio frequency cards according to the requests of the PLM Team. You will be required to travel up to twice a year.


Summary of responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of the architecture of new RF products
  • Carry out analysis of transmission and reception chains.
  • Write hardware and software system requirements to ensure the proper functioning of the RF system.
  • Develop system test plans and produce analysis of results
  • Optimize gain controls and power detection
  • Design RF card.
  • Schema capture.
  • Participate in hardware and software design reviews.
  • Technical management of subcontractors: Review of specifications, design review, audit, and evaluation.
  • Second line support for production and customers.


Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in RF circuit design operating up to 6 GHz.
  • Excellent knowledge of radio frequency transmission and reception chain analysis.
  • Interference analysis and management capability to optimize system performance in a hostile RF environment.
  • Good knowledge of non-linear effects caused by high power RF amplifiers.
  • Good understanding of analog and software control loops.
  • Communicate effectively in French and English (oral and written) with our customers
  • Good understanding of laboratory equipment (RF test equipment, Spectrum analyzer, VNA, etc.).


Strengths:

  • Excellent knowledge of specialized software such as Microwave office, PAD.
  • Knowledge of cellular telephone technologies (GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, etc.).
  • Ability to explain fundamental radio frequency principles in layman’s terms.
  • Experience in microwave and millimeter wave circuit design.
  • Familiar with FCC/ISED/3GPP standards for cellular products.
  • Experience in spectral emission conformation and EMC.
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Concepteur matériel Radio Fréquence


Sous la supervision du Directeur matériel, le Concepteur matériel Radio Fréquence assistera à la conception de systèmes radio fréquence et au déverminage des produits RF existant. Vous serez appelé à concevoir en équipe des cartes radio fréquence variées selon les demandes de l’équipe PLM. Vous serez appelé à voyager jusqu’à 2 fois par année.


Sommaire des responsabilités :

  • Participer à l’élaboration de l’architecture des nouveaux produits RF
  • Effectuer des analyses de chaines de transmission et réception.
  • Rédiger des requis système matériel et logiciel pour assurer le bon fonctionnement du système RF.
  • Élaborer des plans de test système et produire des analyses des résultats.
  • Optimiser les contrôles de gain et détection de puissance
  • Faire la conception de carte RF.
  • Capture de schéma.
  • Participer aux revues de conception matériel et logiciel.
  • Gestion technique de sous-traitants : Revue des spécifications, revue de conception, audit et évaluation.
  • Support de deuxième ligne pour la production et les clients.


Qualifications requises :

  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique
  • Minimum de 7 années d’expérience pertinente en conception de circuit RF opérant jusqu’à 6 GHz.
  • Bonne maitrise d’analyse de chaine de transmission et réception radio fréquence.
  • Capacité d’analyse et de gestion d’interférence afin d’optimiser la performance du système en milieu hostile RF.
  • Bonne connaissance des effets non-linéaire occasionné par les amplificateurs RF de haute puissance.
  • Bonne compréhension des boucles d’asservissement analogique et par logiciel.
  • Communiquer efficacement en français et en anglais (oral et écrit) avec nos clients
  • Bonne compréhension des équipements de laboratoire (équipement de test RF, Analyseur de spectre, VNA, …).


Atouts:

  • Maitrise de l’utilisation de logiciel spécialisés comme Microwave office, PAD.
  • Connaissance des technologies de téléphonie cellulaire (GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE…).
  • Capacité à vulgariser les principes fondamentaux radio fréquence.
  • Expérience en conception de circuit micro-onde et ondes millimétriques.
  • Familier avec les normes FCC/ISED/3GPP pour les produits cellulaires.
  • Expérience en conformation d’émission spectrale et EMC.
  • Habileté à voyager à l’international.
