Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Fabric/Textile Engineer to spearhead the research and development of groundbreaking fabrics that push the boundaries of innovation. In this role, you will lead the charge in ensuring that the highest quality standards are upheld and continuously redefined to maintain our position as a market leader in men’s apparel.
Is this for you?
We are growing so rapidly, so things are changing quickly, and an in-house presence is required. The role requires regular travel to suppliers and factories, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the research and development of innovative fabrics to meet market demands and improve existing textile offerings.
- Collaborate with the product development and design team to translate creative concepts into technical fabric solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive and detailed analysis of the existing fabrics, identifying and highlighting critical areas that require improvement in various aspects, including performance, durability, and quality.
- Assist and oversee the sampling process for new fabrics and new product development and, ensuring that sampled textiles meet design and performance specifications.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to mills and suppliers to fine-tune fabric samples.
- Monitor quality at each stage of production, providing guidance to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Establish and set up a fully functional in-house lab for fabric testing, ensuring that all necessary equipment is in place for comprehensive fabric analysis.
- Interpret lab tests on fabric properties.
- Build strong relationships with textile mills, traveling as necessary to ensure clear communication and alignment on fabric development.
- Provide feedback and direction to suppliers based on lab test results and product requirements.
- Continuously explore new technologies, materials, and processes to develop next-generation fabrics that push the boundaries of performance.
- Stay ahead of market trends and integrate the latest advancements in textile engineering into the development process.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in fabric engineering, textile R&D, or a similar role in the fashion, apparel, or textile industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Science, Material Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of textile properties, lab testing methodologies, and fabric performance metrics.
- Ability to analyze fabric composition and performance data, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear feedback and maintain productive relationships with mills and suppliers.
- Passion for developing new fabrics and pushing the boundaries of textile technology

Nous nous développons très rapidement, les choses changent vite et une présence en interne est nécessaire. Ce poste nécessite des déplacements réguliers chez les fournisseurs et dans les usines, tant au niveau national qu'international.

Responsabilités :
- Diriger la recherche et le développement de tissus innovants afin de répondre aux demandes du marché et d'améliorer les offres textiles existantes.
- Collaborer avec l'équipe de développement de produits et de conception pour traduire les concepts créatifs en solutions techniques pour les tissus.
- Effectuer une analyse complète et détaillée des tissus existants, en identifiant et en mettant en évidence les domaines critiques qui nécessitent une amélioration sous divers aspects, notamment la performance, la durabilité et la qualité.
- Assister et superviser le processus d'échantillonnage pour les nouveaux tissus et le développement de nouveaux produits et s'assurer que les textiles échantillonnés répondent aux spécifications de conception et de performance.
- Fournir un retour d'information et des recommandations aux usines et aux fournisseurs afin d'affiner les échantillons de tissus.
- Contrôler la qualité à chaque étape de la production, en fournissant des conseils pour garantir la cohérence et le respect des spécifications.
- Créer et mettre en place un laboratoire interne entièrement fonctionnel pour les essais de tissus, en veillant à ce que tout l'équipement nécessaire soit en place pour une analyse complète des tissus.
- Interpréter les tests de laboratoire sur les propriétés des tissus.
- Établir des relations solides avec les usines textiles, en se déplaçant si nécessaire pour assurer une communication claire et un alignement sur le développement des tissus.
- Fournir un retour d'information et des orientations aux fournisseurs sur la base des résultats des tests de laboratoire et des exigences du produit.
- Explorer en permanence les nouvelles technologies, les nouveaux matériaux et les nouveaux processus afin de développer des tissus de nouvelle génération qui repoussent les limites de la performance.
- Rester à l'affût des tendances du marché et intégrer les dernières avancées en matière d'ingénierie textile dans le processus de développement.
Qualifications :
- Plus de 15 ans d'expérience en ingénierie textile, en R&D textile ou dans un rôle similaire dans l'industrie de la mode, de l'habillement ou du textile.
- Licence en ingénierie textile, en science textile, en science des matériaux ou dans un domaine connexe.
- Solide connaissance des propriétés des textiles, des méthodes d'essai en laboratoire et des mesures de performance des tissus.
- Capacité à analyser les données relatives à la composition et aux performances des tissus, à identifier les domaines susceptibles d'être améliorés et à élaborer des solutions innovantes.
- Bonnes aptitudes à la communication orale et écrite, avec la capacité de fournir un retour d'information clair et de maintenir des relations productives avec les usines et les fournisseurs.
- Passion pour le développement de nouveaux tissus et pour repousser les limites de la technologie textile.
