Residential Construction Site Attendant

Introduction
We are seeking a versatile Residential Construction Site Attendant/Coordinator to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. As a pivotal member of our team, you will work directly under a project manager to help oversee all aspects of the construction site, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Execution
- Implement project plans, schedules, and budgets as set by Project Manager.
- Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
2. Site Maintenance and Coordination
- Serve as a point of contact for project manager and onsite personnel.
- Document daily activities and coordinate with construction crew members and subcontractors on site.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress.
- Conduct regular site meetings to communicate objectives, updates, and safety protocols.
3. Onsite Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Inspect work progress and ensure quality craftsmanship.
- Oversee inspections and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction.
4. Cost Control and Budget Management
- Monitor project expenditures and maintain budgetary discipline.
- Review invoices, purchase orders, and change orders as needed.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
5. Safety and Risk Management
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Qualifications
- Post Secondary degree or related field experience is preferred but not mandatory; additional vocational training in construction or related fields is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to operate basic tools and equipment safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
