Equilibrium Mining is seeking Junior to Intermediate Hydrogeologists / Groundwater Modelers to support our dynamic and growing team. Responsibilities Overview:

  • Develop conceptual and numerical modelling solutions in support of engineering/mining projects.
  • Develop new techniques and methods to solve groundwater problems.
  • Geological and hydrogeological data analyses, visualization and development of conceptual site models.
  • Applying hydrogeological principles to groundwater projects using conceptual and numerical modelling software.
  • Perform field work in support of geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations

Background Requirements:

  • Masters or PhD degree (Mathematics, Physics, Hydrogeological Sciences, Geological, Civil, Environmental, Mining Engineering, or equivalent qualifications)
  • 1 to 10 years of relevant simulation or modelling experience (FEFLOW, MODFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, GoldSim, etc.)
  • Knowledge of 3D finite difference, finite element and control volume finite element methods
  • Experience with visualization software (Surfer, Leapfrog, CAD, etc.) and scripting/programming (Python, VBA, C++, etc.)
