Sr Finance Manager, FP&A


Position Description

The Sr Finance Manager, FP&A will be an integral part of Glass Lewis’ Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The role will lead and help drive monthly reporting, forecasting and planning. It will require strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities to provide actionable insights and guidance to key stakeholders. The ability to develop cross-functional partnerships and communicate in-depth analytical results to senior leadership are keys to success. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for business, is highly analytical and comfortable with ambiguity.



Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing clear and actionable insights
  • Demonstrate a dynamic understanding of complex problems and an ability to clearly present and communicate recommendations to senior leaders, including suggestions for course correction
  • Develop and oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support long-term planning, strategic decision-making, and risk assessment, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Lead the development and implementation of key performance indicators and benchmarks for financial planning and control
  • Champion improvements and efficiencies in data structure while ensuring data integrity and fidelity in support of projects
  • Ability to achieve deadlines while leading multiple and changing projects, receive and incorporate executive level feedback, and work cross functionally to build consensus on goals, assumptions, and conclusions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as required



Education/Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant quantitative field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience finance/accounting, strategy, operations; subscription-based revenue experience a plus
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes in a multinational business setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Certification in financial management a plus (e.g., CFA, CMA)
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, BI tools).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to non-financial audiences.


Location: Toronto, Ontario, CAN

(This is a hybrid position with regular office attendance of 2-3 days per week required)


Reporting Structure: Reports to CFO who is located in Kansas City, MO, USA
