About the role

The Network Security team is responsible for the evolution, support and governance of our worldwide network and its security. The criticality of our network infrastructure and the accelerating growth of our systems leads to ever more complex challenges. Through innovation and agility, the team seeks to ensure that our infrastructure and services offering stand at the forefront of the company’s needs.

As a Network Security administrator with strong Palo Alto hands-on experience, you will be driving the advancement, performance and stability of our infrastructure and its associated components with a strong focus on innovation and automation.

What you'll do here:

  1. Provide high level technical expertise to support the network security operations team in all activities.
  2. Provide technical assistance, training and mentoring to junior level administrators.
  3. Provide high quality internal and external customer service surrounding the company values.
  4. Design, implement and support of Network Security components (Palo Alto, DDoS, IPS) LAN, WAN, Data Center infrastructure, etc.
  5. Ensure all network infrastructure engineering patterns are appropriately designed to meet our SLA requirements.
  6. Responsible for writing and reviewing change requests as a part of the change management process.
  7. Provide recommendations for improving overall network security posture.
  8. Participate in the documentation processes including network diagrams, staff contacts, vendor contacts, utilization of monitoring/resource/inventory management tools.
  9. Collaborate with managers to develop standards in line with the company guidelines and monitor those standards.
  10. Assist with the resolution of escalated issues and actively participate in problem management activities.
  11. As a member of the network security operations team participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer infrastructure.
  12. Overtime in the event of emergencies is required.

What you bring to the table:

  1. Degree or Diploma in Networking or Technology or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  2. Minimum 5 years experience in IP-based large environment strongly preferred.
  3. Strong experience with Network security equipment (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, IPS, DDoS, etc.).
  4. Demonstrated in-depth understanding of the TCP/IP protocol.
  5. Networking and Security certifications, an asset.
  6. Experience with Cisco ISE, automation (like Ansible), an asset.
  7. Bilingualism (French / English) – For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
  8. No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
