Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Vulnerability Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities for a major bank in


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate vulnerability reports from various sources
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and scans of the IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement patch management strategies and schedules.
  • Prioritize and apply patches and updates to mitigate security risks in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure seamless deployment of patches.
  • Track and document all identified vulnerabilities, remediation actions, and outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
  • Assist in incident response activities related to vulnerability exploits.
  • Provide guidance and training to other staff members on vulnerability management best practices.
  • Prepare and present reports on vulnerability status and remediation efforts to management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in vulnerability management, patch management, or related information security roles.
  • Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
  • Proficiency with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).
  • Ability to take broad directives, such as ensuring all items are addressed well ahead of target dates, and independently determine the necessary actions without needing detailed guidance for addressing scan results.
  • Capability to understand and own our objectives, making informed decisions on how to effectively address scan results and violations in alignment with our goals.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that all items from extensive scan reports are meticulously addressed, leaving no issues unresolved or overlooked.
  • Proficient in conveying work progress and details concisely and effectively to both me and other stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all pertinent information.
