This position is a field based rotational position (14/14) reporting to the drilling superintendent. The DSR supervises drilling operations near Fox Creek in the Kaybob Duvernay field. His/her responsibility is to ensure safe working practices are followed by the business partners and oversee the execution of Chevron's drilling plan in a safe and efficient manner.


Responsibilities
  1. Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with environmental, safety and regulatory requirements.
  2. Responsible for all personnel and being the company representative on the well site.
  3. Assist in the engineering design of the drilling programs.
  4. Ensure that drilling operations are carried out on time and budget.
  5. Adhere to Chevron Standard Operation Procedures and execute the well as per WellSafe requirements.
  6. Provide detailed timely reports to engineers via various software programs, including WellView.
  7. Prepare written handover notes between shifts and when leaving location.
  8. Provide support to the engineering team on a variety of subjects, including tripping speed, MPD operating window, drilling strategy, optimization of certain operations, and POA reviews.
  9. Be an advocate for Chevron core values e.g. diversity & inclusion, high performance behaviors, integrity and trust, partnership, and safe working practices.

Requirements
  1. Eligible to work in Canada.
  2. Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  3. Minimum of 10-15 years' experience as a Wellsite Supervisor.
  4. Be a team player and able to work in a diverse environment.
  5. Experience in drilling horizontal wells in a factory environment.
  6. Significant exposure to MPD drilling.
  7. Demonstrated leader with excellent management, supervisory, and communication skills.
  8. Proficiency in reporting with a variety of systems.
  9. Possession of a current well control certificate and all other tickets as per IRP7.
  10. Familiarity with Chevron policies and procedures is an advantage (SOPs, WellSafe, rig certification process, safety processes, etc.).
  11. A working knowledge of area regulations and compliance requirements.
