Role & Responsibilities
As the Product Manager for the Web platform, you will own the product roadmap for Vention’s transactional website, the user community infrastructure, and private client portals. In this role, you will interface with clients to capture emerging needs and drive respective software development teams. Leveraging your product management expertise, you will guide architectural choices and drive effective prioritization of our efforts and resources. More specifically, your role will include the following responsibilities:
Product management
- Conduct client interviews to understand feature opportunities/gaps.
- Conduct benchmarking of competitors' products.
- Conduct analysis to inform new product specifications and evaluate performance of existing products.
- Scope and maintain the product roadmap.
- Prepare detailed briefs for new software/features, including business logic.
- Lead preparation for Quarterly Product Review.
- Develop sales enablement material and train various go-to-market teams (Account Executive, Application Engineers, Customer Success, etc.).
- Collaborate with marketing and growth when developing new features.
- Align with marketing and product designers to maintain a unified artistic direction for the website.
Product ownership
- Organize and prioritize ticket backlog.
- Break down product brief for new product/feature into sequenced tickets for efficient execution.
- Prepare and host sprint kick-off, ensuring software team supports the scope and can successfully define the 'how.'
- Ensure deadline compliance for each feature/product and measure team performance.
- Conduct business QA on new products/features to ensure the user experience contributes to elevating the Vention platform.
- Work with software team and HR to ensure teams are properly staffed with the expertise required to deliver the annual roadmap.
Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field.
5 years of experience in product management for global e-commerce and marketplace platforms.
Experience with multi-language and multi-currency transactional capabilities.
Familiarity with growth product management, including sign-up and activation conversion optimization, viral loop measurement, and amplification.
Strong analytical toolkit with the ability to run complex analyses including regression, T-sample tests, A/B tests.
Strong project management and risk mitigation mindset, with demonstrated ability to build contingency plans and execute them.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds and good time management.
