Licensed Tradesperson

The position is based out of our Grafton Plant located at: 280 Edwardson Road, Grafton, Ontario, K0K 2G0

Position Description:

1. Mechanical maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment within the plant, involving conveyor systems and motors, hydraulic units, pneumatic units, pumps rebuild and overhauls.
2. Ability to read & interpret drawings & schematics; knowledge of PLC, control systems & automated programming.
3. Responding to routine breakdown and repair issues.
4. Ensure high plant reliability is achieved by performing quality routine machine and plant maintenance.
5. Ensure optimum performance is achieved through effective and consistent setting of the production machine.
6. Deliver maintenance KPI’s to ensure visibility of maintenance performance and required improvement for sites.
7. Oxyacetylene cutting and burning is considered an asset.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Fully Licensed Journeyperson - A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) or equivalent.
2. Experience: 3-4 or more years of industrial experience is preferred.
3. Mechanical background with the drive to further develop and learn, with a safety-first and resilient attitude to multi-task and effectively execute tasks to get them done.
4. Communication skills are key to being successful as you will have to communicate with a number of different internal customers and work as part of a team.
5. Demonstrate a background involving maintenance of a busy production line preferably or maintenance involving both mechanical and electrical machinery.
6. Ability to problem solve and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment; understand the bigger picture and the needs of the business and the need to service and deliver quality to the customer.
