What We’re Looking for in a Machine Learning Engineer:

  • Educational Background: A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of demonstrated experience with a variety of ML methods, focusing on areas such as dexterous manipulation, computer vision for robotics, or natural language processing.
  • Software Engineering: 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing and deploying production-grade applications.
  • Technical Skills: Working experience with ROS2, parallel computing technologies (e.g., CUDA, OpenMP), and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Production Experience: Experience taking ML models to production and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Publications: Publications in leading AI, ML, or robotics conferences are highly desirable.

Skills Required for the Machine Learning Engineer Role:

  • Programming Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python or C++.
  • ML Techniques: Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.
  • Frameworks: Working knowledge of PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
