We are actively seeking a talented Production Planning Assistant and Customer Experience Coordinator to join our team. If you are customer oriented, a creative problem-solver with a passion for optimizing manufacturing and operational systems, we invite you to join our dynamic team.

Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Production Planning Assistant you will be responsible to assist the Master Scheduler with developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, maximize efficiency, and ensure smooth operations within a manufacturing environment.

Work order Distribution and Maintenance– Generate shop and office folders and distribute them to required production and purchasing teams. Follow up on work orders and drawings through the production process and implement the required changes making sure all affected processes are informed.

Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routing– Create accurate BOM and routing as required for all orders in Global Shop software and issue to Purchasing and Production. Work closely with Project Manager to ensure all required materials are being fabricated or purchased to support the delivery schedule. Organize inventory numbers and descriptions for ease of repeatability. Enter inventory part numbers into Global Shop and ensure all required parameters are entered correctly including special specifications. Input quality requirements as required by QA.

As a Customer Experience Coordinator you are responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. You will coordinate and support our OEM product lines.

You will Enter orders Interact with Purchasing and Production to keep up to date on the status of orders and be the voice of the customer for these products. Monitor status of orders and provide timely and accurate information to customer on delivery timing. Maintain and generate monthly performance and measurement reports for management.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in engineering technology from an accredited educational institution or relevant industry experience.
  • Must have a 3-5 years of progressive production planning experience in a relevant industry.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with associated processes preferred.
  • Superior facilitative and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities in an environment subject to constant change.
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in the accumulation and transfer of information.
  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised as well as collaborates within an active team.
  • Demonstrates discretion and adheres to confidentiality in handling delicate or complex situations.

Working Conditions

  • Works in an office environment
