Responsibilities:
  1. Design and management of large, complex, long-term projects while coordinating with other disciplines and external partners within time and budget constraints.
  2. Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers across Canada with a focus on sustainable design.
  3. Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues.
  4. Put together fees and proposals as well as developing strong client relationships.
  5. Predict and plan current and future resources, including strategic membership growth, while developing and mentoring the team.
  6. Represents Arup in the industry at high levels nationally and internationally, e.g. think tanks, standard committees and international conferences.
  7. Create an environment of inclusivity that inspires the growth and career development of junior and senior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the built environment with major project leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience with HVAC and plumbing systems in buildings, sustainable, low carbon and innovative strategies on projects.
  • Professional Engineer in Canada (P.Eng).
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project leadership.
