Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with RD team, conducts hardware verification tests, and document test results.
  2. Set up test environment, wiring, and meter setup for assigned test task.
  3. Perform comprehensive testing of meter hardware components, including meters, sensors, connectors, and related equipment.
  4. Conduct functional testing to verify the performance and accuracy of meter hardware under various operating conditions.
  5. Utilize testing equipment and tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data loggers to perform precise measurements and diagnostics.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot hardware issues, defects, or anomalies, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
  7. Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and troubleshooting activities in accordance with established procedures and documentation standards.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and coordination of testing activities.
  9. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
  10. Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement of testing processes, equipment, and procedures.
  11. Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in metering technology, and regulatory requirements related to meter hardware testing.
  12. Use oscilloscopes to test and analyze signals quality and performance in UART, SPI, and other communication protocols.
  13. Test and validate HMI related issues.
  14. Maintain and organize lab equipment and test environment.
  15. Follow established development guidelines and standards and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
  2. Proven experience in hardware testing, preferably in the metering or electronics industry.
  3. Strong technical skills and proficiency in using testing equipment and tools.
  4. Knowledge of electrical circuits, signal processing, and data acquisition techniques.
  5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  6. Experience with standard test equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
  7. Experience following Agile development methodology and familiarity with Jira and SharePoint.
  8. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  9. Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, MQTT, IEC61850 is a plus.
  10. Experience with power systems is a plus.
  11. Experience with CMC256 plus, WECO4330 is a plus.
  12. Experience with Python is a plus.
