HireLoft Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a leading manufacturer of fabricated steel products at their facility in Guelph, Ontario.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Gantry/Bridge Mills and TOS Horizontal Boring Mills
  • Verify and optimize CNC programs, feeds, and speeds
  • Work with large, complex fabricated components, requiring an analytical approach to machining
  • Maintain tight tolerances and interpret technical drawings accurately
  • Perform complex set-ups and operate overhead cranes
  • Conduct first-off inspections to ensure part compliance
  • Identify, select, prepare, and set cutting tools
  • Machine high-complexity parts using a wide range of materials


Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman Machinist experience, particularly in custom, one-off CNC machining of large fabrications
  • Strong programming knowledge of Heidenhain Controls
  • General Machinist certification is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, charts, and tables
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in a custom fabrication and machine shop environment
  • Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to health and safety regulations
