As part of the development of its Montreal branch, MIGSO-PCUBED is recruiting its next experienced accountant. You will work directly in our Montreal office.


Your main responsibilities :


The accountant will assist the team in accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as invoice preparation and submission, expense claim processing, report preparation, and other financial activities. This position will allow you to apply your accounting skills while contributing to the team's success.


Your assistance will be key to :


  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and manage annual closing and adjusting entries.
  • Assist in responding to requests from external auditors, tax consultants and legal advisors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and successful completion of audits and tax returns.
  • Process accounts payable, including coding invoices and preparing invoice batches for data entry and payment.
  • Maintain and monitor the accounts payable aging report, as well as manage the payment process, including the preparation of electronic payments.
  • Manage, update and maintain supplier files and file numbers.
  • Process accounts receivable, including preparation of sales invoices and/or credit notes, and coding of invoices/credit notes for data entry.
  • Maintain and monitor accounts receivable aging report, assist in collection of past due accounts receivable and entry of payments received.
  • Manage, update and maintain customer files and file numbers.
  • Reconcile bank statements daily against general ledger, including verification of cleared payments.
  • Prepare corporate credit card expense reports and review employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with corporate expense policy.
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations, including the preparation of accounting journal entries for the company's entire accounting cycle and the production of detailed sub-account vouchers.
  • Prepare and process quarterly sales tax remittances (GST and QST) and other necessary government reporting obligations.
  • Support ERP system enhancements to increase productivity within the Finance function.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and support schedules and assist with other tasks related to the month-end closing process to meet the needs of the Finance team, as required.
  • Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities relevant to their role that may be requested by the Finance team, including the CFO.


That's you (or almost):


  • You have a university degree in accounting or a college diploma in accounting;
  • The Office suite has (really) no secrets for you;
  • You're comfortable interacting with national and international customers in French or English. Consequently, fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is required for this role;
  • You are adaptable to your interlocutor and know how to talk to different stakeholders (internal and external).


Ideally, you also have :

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP and Salesforce is an asset;
  • 3-5 years' experience in an accounting-related field;
  • The ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment;
  • CPA designation;
  • Thoroughness and organization
  • A passion for numbers and the challenges inherent in the accounting profession
