Overview

We are seeking a skilled Video Podcast Producer to oversee the development and operation of our in-house video podcast program The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of video podcast production, from studio setup and equipment procurement to scheduling, production, post-production, and final publication. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and project management skills to produce high-quality video podcasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Studio Development and Management:Design and supervise the build-out of the in-house video podcast studio.Secure and set up all necessary audio and video equipment, ensuring all gear meets production standards.Maintain the studio, equipment, and software, keeping everything in optimal working condition.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of all video podcast shoots, coordinating with hosts, guests, and production staff to ensure smooth operations. Develop and implement production workflows that maximize efficiency and quality. Oversee the creation of production schedules, shot lists, and scripts.
  • Production Oversight: Direct and produce video podcast episodes, ensuring content aligns with our brand and quality standards. Supervise the filming process, providing guidance on framing, lighting, and sound to capture high-quality video and audio. Manage any additional personnel needed for production, such as camera operators, sound engineers, or additional producers.
  • Post-Production Supervision: Oversee the editing process to ensure the final product is polished and aligns with the organization’s vision. Supervise sound mixing, video editing, and the integration of graphics and effects. Ensure that all episodes are edited for maximum appeal and comply with broadcast standards.
  • Delivery and Publishing: Manage the encoding and final rendering of episodes to ensure they are ready for publication. Oversee the distribution of video podcasts across various platforms, including YouTube, company website, and other relevant digital channels. Work with our content partners to create additional products from the core content. Monitor analytics and viewer feedback to make adjustments to the production process as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a video producer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in video production, particularly in podcasting or related fields.
  • Technical proficiency with video and audio recording equipment, lighting, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with a diverse team and managing external talents.
  • Creative storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging content.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in media production, with specific experience in video podcast production highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and adjust to shifting production timelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide quick, effective solutions.
  • Experience in post-production workflow management, including video editing, sound design, and graphics integration.
