Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description
As a Process Engineer, you will focus on processes and techniques required to support the manufacture of pyrotechnic products and ensure optimum and efficient manufacturing processes.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  1. Work with a team of Engineers, Chemists, Technicians, etc.
  2. Manage process development and improvement projects for a specific value stream and play a key role in improving as well as supporting novel processing techniques, quality, continuous improvement, innovation, yield increases, throughput and safety improvements.
  3. Design, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes by analyzing product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  4. Provide day-to-day support for different process improvements by analyzing various data sources, providing guidance to correct deviations, and coordinating the modification of control strategies to improve process performance.
  5. Identify improvement opportunities and define required changes through the scoping of capital projects or improved operational standard practices.
  6. Act as project leader for capital projects to ensure successful completion within budgeted time and cost. Develop project plans, coordinate team activities, and regularly report on project status. Hold complete accountability for the successful completion of the project.
  7. Assure product and process quality by designing test methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
  8. Individual contributor able to adapt broader policies and programs to meet business needs.
  9. Work independently under general guidance but confer with the manager on assignments.

Hard Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following disciplines: process, quality, manufacturing engineering
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
