Work in adventurous Fort McMurray at the Northern Lights Regional Hospital, which serves a very diverse community in Wood Buffalo. This is an opportunity for you to join the team in the Respiratory Department as a Respiratory Therapist. Your days will be full as you assess, treat, and educate patients, perform oxygen therapy, airway management, ventilator initiation, monitoring, and management. You will also be involved in Level III sleep studies, assist with Bronchoscopies, the provisions of outpatient procedures and maintain respiratory equipment. You will be required to use your communication, computer, and professional skills as you work collaboratively with the supportive multidisciplinary team. Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current PALS certification.
