We are currently looking to fill a permanent full-time position for a Dry Goods - Purchasing Coordinator for our Purchasing department at our Leamington, ON location.


The Purchasing Coordinator provides various support which includes the purchasing of dry good materials, monitoring inventory, and assuring the best shipment method while considering cost and service.


Job Specific Duties

  • Order CHEP & RPCs through supplier portals.
  • Monitor inventories on site and in various portals.
  • Keep track of the RPC's and Pallets that are delivered to our Growers.
  • Generate sales orders for dry goods ordered from our Growers.
  • Generate POs for dry goods.
  • Coordinate weekly transfers to other warehouses with Logistics.
  • Orders the office supplies for DC offices as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 1 or more years experience in purchasing, and/or material planning required.
  • College Diploma or equivalent in related field preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills, reading, writing, listening and oral communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel to the U.S. or internationally as required.
  • Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Proficiency in working with computers and software programs, specifically ERP, KPI Portals and Microsoft Office more specifically Excel and Nav.
  • Ability to identify issues and problem solve independently using appropriate resources internally and externally.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle customer service situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, some independent work.


Working Conditions

  • Office setting - walking, sitting, and standing throughout the day.
  • Occasional on-site visits to greenhouses, Distribution Centers, production floors and/or warehouses.
  • Works Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required. Hours may fluctuate according to business needs. May be required to work after hours as needed.
