Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Execution and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review, and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and operational procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries.
  • Preparation of personal, corporate, non-profit organization information, and charitable tax returns.
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints.
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships.
A successful candidate will have:
  • Completion of an Accounting Program – College or University.
  • Related work experience in public accounting or within a small to medium-sized business would be an asset.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and technical competencies to execute work at the direction received up front from other experienced staff using Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online and/or any other tax preparation software. Any prior experience with these programs is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to detect and solve problems.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential information and sensitive matters.
  • Professional manner, strong work ethic, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused fast-paced work environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to consistently meet those deadlines.
  • The ability to accept feedback and apply feedback to future engagements.
