Eagle Copters Maintenance Ltd is looking for a General Laborer/Shop Hand to assist the Eagle Facility Maintenance team

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Position: Full Time

Hours: 8 hr shift

Job Description:

Eagle is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented General Laborer / Shop Hand to support the upkeep and maintenance of our aviation facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment for our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facility maintenance, hangar organization, and general labor tasks to support daily operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal.
  • Operate a floor scrubber to maintain clean workspaces.
  • Conduct seasonal maintenance such as winter snow removal and slip prevention around buildings.
  • Safely operate snow blowers, lawn maintenance tools, and other assorted equipment.
  • Clean hangar bay doors, man doors, and windows.
  • Ensure floor tracking, guides, and hinges are clear of debris.
  • Keep hangar ramps organized, including managing tow bars, pallets, crating materials, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Ensure all doors are locked and secure.
  • Turn off all lights and space heaters to maintain safety and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a general labor, maintenance, or shop hand role preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions (snow removal, lawn care, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. and perform physical labor as required.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Additional Duties & Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for periods of time
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safety and ability to follow OH&S and additional aviation safety standards.
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Ability to get a Transport Canada restricted areas pass, criminal background check required.
  • Hold a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Successful completion of all internal training.
