BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Estimate loss on Emergency and Restoration Projects. Paul Davis Simcoe County is an Emergency Restoration Company. We often deal with Residential and Commercial properties who have experienced water damage, fire damage, or wind damage.

The Estimator would be responsible for:

  1. Staying on top of claims that come in and ensuring we upload estimates within the program requirements for specific losses/carriers.
  2. Receiving a scope from the project managers who will also provide you with a sketch and measurements for you to then build in the computer systems.
  3. Sending a copy to the assigned Project Managers to review for approval and then uploading within the system for the specific carrier.
  4. Tracking estimates you upload on a weekly basis and information you are awaiting.
  5. Handling revisions when needed on estimates.
  6. Learning each carrier's protocols in order to follow their requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
  1. Professionally represent the Paul Davis principles of honesty and integrity.
  2. Work in a team environment.
  3. Xactimate and/or Symbility experience is an asset.
  4. Basic construction experience is an asset.
  5. Receive scope from project managers.
  6. Prepare estimates in a timely fashion (typically within 48 hours of the inspection or according to program requirements for specific losses/carriers).
  7. Review estimates with Project Managers to ensure nothing is missed.
  8. Deliver necessary paperwork to the administrative department.
  9. Work towards ensuring nothing is missed on estimates in order to make profit on each job.
  10. Monitor claims from adjusters for any revisions needed.

We will fully train the right candidate. We are looking for someone eager to learn and not afraid to jump in, ask questions, and continuously learn. We are looking for a go-getter and someone who can fit into our Paul Davis Family. We need you to have excellent organization skills and a desire to grow with our company. Experience is a bonus but we are more than happy to train someone willing to learn a new business. Having experience with computers will be a must as the majority of work will be done on multiple computer systems
