Inventory Management Officer

The OpportunityAs the Inventory Management Officer, you will be relied upon as an expert in Inventory transactions and processes and will be responsible for ensuring the timely movement of product within the DC to support the Fulfillment and Receiving teams. You will do this by answering questions, ensuring the team stays current on replenishments and product drops, and jumping-in to lead transactions when it is required. Your main deliverable within this role is to maintain accurate inventory levels within the DC. This is a hands-on role that requires a team member who is motivated by improving the efficiency and accuracy of inventory operations.
Responsibilities - Ensuring processes are being conducted in a standardized manner, including product drops and replenishments, as well as put aways from receiving.
- Assign, stage and relocate product according to order and restock requirements.
- Problem-solving and answering questions experienced by the IC team to minimize downtime.
- Reporting workflow issues or reoccurring problems to management that cause inefficiencies to the IC team.
- Train associates in duties and policies
- Suggesting feedback to management regarding process improvements.
- Ensure that any movement of inventory is scanned with RF scan guns.
-Ensure the accuracy of products taken to and from pick locations.
- Ensuring all work activities are conducted in a safe manner and assisting with health & safety practices within our area of responsibility.
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Completing other internal requests or tasks as determined by management.
- Previous experience operating a Raymond Reach Truck or Crown Reach Truck (mandatory)
- A valid forklift certificate is necessary.
- Leadership or training experience in an asset
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Collaborator with respect for co-workers
- Creative problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Meticulous and able to effectively prioritize.
- This role will report into our Warehouse Inventory Manager
- This position will operate Sunday to Thursday, from 1pm until 10pm, with additional overtime as required.
- The warehouse temperature is variable depending on seasonal conditions. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy product weighing 50-60 lbs, along with spending prolonged periods on your feet, is required.
- Compensation Range is $22.00-$25.00 per hour
- This position will report to our DC (450 Southgate Dr, Guelph ON)
