POSITION DESCRIPTION:

King Technologies is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Compliance Specialist to provide advanced cybersecurity support to the NSWC Indian Head Division. This position is contingent upon award of the contract to King Technologies, Inc.

As the IA Compliance Specialist III, you will:

  1. Identify, counter, and mitigate system vulnerabilities and threats to the various network components that could result in damage, unauthorized modification or destruction of the network resources, unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information, or denial of service to authorized network users.
  2. Use expert knowledge of methods for developing, evaluating, coordinating, and disseminating security tools and procedures.
  3. Perform risk assessments, accreditation, data calls, vulnerability assessments, and information assurance requirements.
  4. Document the definition, production, and maintenance of security policy and documentation.
  5. Monitor, audit, and test systems and networks for possible security and maintain security problems.
  6. Review security log files on a daily basis and investigate anomalies.
  7. Test, install, and maintain security infrastructure tools that are Navy approved.
  8. Test and install patches and fixes for security vulnerabilities in vendor software on all servers and workstations affected.
  9. Provide investigation, coordination, reporting, and follow-up of network security incidents.
  10. Provide analysis of internal projects that may have an impact on the security of the Network.
  11. Apply security patches and operating system updates.
  12. Install and update anti-virus software and update virus signature files.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Formulate and enforce work standards, assign project schedules, review work, and communicate policies and organization goals and objectives to all project personnel.
  2. Experience in CSWF problem solving, project milestone development, management, and reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
  2. DoD 8570.01-M Baseline IT Level and IAT Level II certification
  3. 10 years of experience working in an environment that requires SWSF/DCWF certification
  4. Microsoft Office Suites

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Due to the nature of work performed, a U.S. citizenship and Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and meet verification and eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
