Reporting to the Controller, the system developer will help to advance Stubbe’s NetSuite instance by managing projects, making customizations for users along with helping to ensure the system is as efficient as possible for use by Stubbe’s.

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within NetSuite platform to meet business requirements, with a focus on optimizing accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, propose solutions, and implement enhancements to NetSuite modules related to, but not limited to invoicing, billing, and revenue recognition.
  • Customize and configure NetSuite workflows, forms, fields, and records to streamline accounting workflows and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop SuiteScripts and SuiteFlow workflows.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for NetSuite-related issues, particularly in the invoicing and billing areas.
  • Stay updated with NetSuite releases, features, and best practices, and leverage new functionalities to enhance accounting processes and system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NetSuite with other business systems and applications, ensuring data integrity and seamless flow of information.
  • Document technical specifications, configurations, and customizations, and provide training to end-users as needed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Must be able to work in a self-managed team and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience as a NetSuite Developer or Administrator, with a focus on accounting modules, invoicing, and billing processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, and SuiteTalk for customization and integration purposes.
  • Knowledge of SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across different departments.
  • Integrate NetSuite with other enterprise applications using a combination of REST API calls from NetSuite to third party applications and hands-on experience on creating RESTlets, SFTP file transfer from NetSuite.
  • Comfortable with understanding and solving challenging technical problems, while still being humble enough to admit when there is a knowledge gap.
