Under the leadership of the Director Fleet Transactions - New Aircraft Introduction, the team is fully accountable for the development, configuration, execution and management of all milestones and deliverables attached to the introduction of a new aircraft. The team holds a governance responsibility regarding every aspect of new aircraft including program structure, regulatory compliance, commercial obligations, technical covenants and reporting.
- Responsible for the end-to-end Program Management of new aircraft introduction. The manager is responsible to manage and ensure alignment of all technical, contractual, financial, certification and schedule aspects of new aircraft introduction working with all internal branches (operations, maintenance, product design, flight operations, in-flight services, airports, finance, corporate risk, human resources and training) to ensure the fleet is delivered on time, on scope and on budget.
- Responsible for the Aircraft Configuration Process. The manager is responsible to coordinate all activities with the Aircraft OEM, internal stakeholders and BFE vendors to define the aircraft configuration.
- Responsible for all Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) required by the Aircraft OEM (Seats, In-flight Entertainment, Connectivity, Emergency Equipment, and half a dozen other BFE products). This involves overseeing the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Contract award and negotiations. The Manager is then responsible for the daily management of the design, certification, built and delivery of all BFE products.
- Responsible for the coordination of the Entry into Service (EIS) process involving all internal functions, BFE supplier and aircraft Manufacturer.
- Oversee the TCCA Aircraft Certification process involving key internal functions and aircraft Manufacturer.
- Responsible for program status and supports financial reporting. The Manager is responsible for status reporting and dashboarding of the program and contributes to the preparation and oversight of program financial management.
- Oversee Flight Simulator and training devices requirements. Coordinate acquisition of flight simulators and training devices required by Flight Operations. Oversee activities required to obtain all rights, components and software from the aircraft OEM required to build the Aircraft flight simulators.
- Support the Aircraft delivery process. Support the Sr Delivery Manager in the aircraft delivery process especially related to management of all BFE products (shortages, financial compensations, credits).
- Minimum of 5+ Program Management, Vendor Management and/or Customer Account Management Experience.
- Education: University degree in a relevant field of study (business, commerce, information technology, engineering)
- Experience in the airline or related industries is an asset
- Background in managing multiple programs and deliverables
- Technical understanding of commercial aircraft
- Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, regulatory and certification processes is an asset
- Experienced in contract negotiations is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and the ability bring teams together under a common objective.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and shift priorities as dictated by the business environment
- Self-starter with business acumen, able to work under minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical abilities and computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and efficient in French
- Ability to travel as required
