About BeatConnect
BeatConnect is a revolutionary music platform that gamifies the creative workflow through collaborative experiences. Our platform is built in Unity using C# and integrates with the Tracktion Engine/JUCE through a C++ DLL, enabling seamless audio control whilst offering next-gen visuals and FX. We are dedicated to enhancing the music creation process by fostering collaboration and innovation.

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unity Lead Developer to lead the development team. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, extensive experience in Unity development, proficiency in C++, and a passion for creating cutting-edge audio software. This person should have a very strong understanding of how to manipulate the Unity engine to create great experiences.

This is a key role in the organisation with plenty of room and opportunity for growth, therefore, we are only looking for the rare individual who evidences technical and communication skills to the highest degree.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and maintenance of BeatConnect's Unity-based DAW.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate various technologies and systems.
Design and implement new features with a focus on multiplayer collaboration.
Optimise performance and ensure the stability of the application.
Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain high coding standards.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Unity development.
Strong proficiency in C# and experience with C++.
Strong proficiency of native Unity systems and concepts
Strong proficiency of both UI, 2D, 3D workflows and concepts
Demonstrated experience with networking or multiplayer game development
Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Familiarity with shaders
Familiarity with 3D workflows
Familiarity with optimizations
Familiarity with content delivery pipelines
Familiarity with Mac native coding
