How you'll make a difference:
  • Overall responsibility for the oversight, management, and execution of the preparation of project working drawings
  • Interface with the client and outside consultants on day-to-day project needs and discussions
  • Responsible for ensuring building regulations and other legal requirements are met and monitor quality assurance, costs, and deadlines throughout the construction project
  • Plan and prepare construction documents including drawings, consultant coordination and facilitate project schedule milestones and deliverables
  • Prepare design drawings from concept through to contract documents, tender, and contract administration services
  • Schematic Design and Design Development: development and preparation of plans for Development Permit Applications and associated approvals
  • Exploration of innovative design solutions as part of the creative process within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team dynamic
  • Contract Documents: create and review project working drawings
  • Construction Reviews and Onsite Work: Review the process and progress of construction, for confirmation of design intent
  • Ongoing development of expertise in technical detailing
  • Create contract document drawings in Revit
  • Coordinate drawings with the specifications team
  • Research and prepare technical aspects for design development documentation
  • Provide technical support to the contract administration team as required
  • Be responsible for the contract document deliverables
Who you are:
  • 5-10 years progressive experience as an architectural technologist is required
  • 3 years of Revit (BIM) experience required
  • Architectural technology diploma is required
  • Interest of aptitude for learning about landscape architectures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some contract administration experience is an asset
