You help define and develop plans and business intelligence; monitor business plans and performance; set targets; identify opportunities to improve service delivery; and design and deliver business strategies and solutions aligned with the business architecture of various initiatives, including Desjardins Group's organizational shift and transformation. Using your aptitude for critical thinking, you lead and influence practitioners on development projects and highly innovative, complex strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. Interpersonal savvy, including relations with senior management, is therefore essential. Finally, this position requires you to work well under pressure in a constantly changing environment. Your initiatives call for extensive, in-depth knowledge of your field of expertise.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and make recommendations on strategic directions and business positions with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity.
  2. Assist with cost-benefit analysis and proactive risk management.
  3. Serve as subject matter expert for partners from identification of needs to implementation of business strategies and solutions in order to generate business value.
  4. Help prioritize business needs and turn them into initiatives in the DGIFSEC.
  5. Regularly review service agreements for expected operational levels and other performance metrics.
  6. Act as go-between for the DGIFSEC and the development and operations teams.
  7. Oversee project follow-up and development and ensure approval for the design and rollout of the solution with the business process owners, which includes explaining the impact on functions.
  8. Ensure compliance with business processes and procedures.
  9. Draft and participate in carrying out test scenarios, in writing and performing integrated tests, in writing training manuals and in transferring knowledge on DGIFSEC apps.
  10. Help prepare and deliver user training and ensure post-implementation support with stakeholders.
  11. Monitor the industry to identify best practices in your field of expertise.

What you bring to the table:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field
  2. A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in the banking sector
  3. Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  4. Experience in multidisciplinary team coordination
  5. CPA accounting title
  6. Knowledge of French is required
  7. Knowledge of the Oracle Financials suite, specifically HFM, EBS, OBIEE and EPM
  8. Knowledge of structured implementation methodologies such as AIM (Application Implementation Methodology), Oracle and project management
  9. Knowledge of ITIL best practices
