Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to design what's next?

In this role, you will be the person who keeps our team on track and on time for new projects. Working alongside 20 – 24 team members, you remove roadblocks and keep developers coding. Whether it's coaching, cutting meetings short, or auditing the process - you'll do whatever it takes to keep the project moving.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative developers to brainstorm and plan our scrums on whiteboards, communicating with your team or communicating across other functions to avoid potential issues in the project plan. While every day is fast-moving and unpredictable, one thing is sure: people skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.

We are seeking a highly skilled, team-oriented individual to be a Scrum Master/Technical Project Manager for high performance, cross-functional autonomous engineering teams. The successful candidate will be an energizing servant leader, be an enabler and driver, is a self starter and can work in an ambiguous environment, willing to learn and grow, work with technical teams, possess strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills, be detail-oriented, thorough and results-focused.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage 2-4 scrum teams with multiple projects facing tight deadlines and dependencies.
  • Partner with product development leadership in the definition and ownership of engineering processes for assigned teams.
  • Drive to build self-organized product development teams and facilitate issue resolution within the team.
  • Participate in strategic planning and goal-setting with assigned teams, communicating a clear vision of one’s team.
  • Organize scrum ceremonies, working with product development leaders and teams to plan and execute product roadmaps and assist in release planning.
  • Build project plans, manage scope and schedule, identify risks and issues and publish status reports.
  • Collaborate across various cross functional teams including: Engineering, Product, User Experience, Reliability and Security to ensure everyone is aligned to Project/Program goals.
  • Facilitate release planning and scheduling by providing empirical scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies and mitigate risks.
  • Own the identification and management of cross-team dependencies and be able to work across teams to achieve team’s objectives.
  • Engage program management to establish KPI’s and use the metrics to track team progress and decision making.
  • Develop working knowledge of technologies to manage development tasks, identify and resolve issues and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • 4+ years experience in a software development organization as an Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master.
  • Experience with Agile at scale (e.g. SAFe, Scrum@Scale, LeSS).
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development project life cycle.
  • Certification: CSM and/or PMP.
  • Familiar with technical constructs, process and development frameworks.
  • Familiar with different software development best practices (BDD, TDD, pair programming, etc.).
  • Proficient in the current project management tools: MS Project, Smartsheet.
  • Proficient in team collaboration and management tools: Confluence, Sharepoint, Jira Software, Jira Service Desk.
  • Has planned and executed on complex and large-scale cross-team initiatives.
  • Has good understanding of development metrics and the use of dashboards / reports to radiate information.
  • Has experience in identifying, fielding, and mitigating inter-team and intra-team conflict, and team/initiative roadblocks.
  • A PMI certification is a plus.

YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:

  • Deliver at epic scale. We deliver real user outcomes using strong judgment and good instincts. We're obsessed with the art of achieving simplicity with a focus on client happiness and productivity.
  • Be surrounded by curious learners. We align ourselves with other smart people in an environment where we grow and elevate one another to the next level. We encourage our associates to listen, stay agile, and learn from mistakes.
  • Act like an owner & doer. Mission-driven and committed to leading change, you will be encouraged to take on any challenge and solve complex problems. No tasks are beneath or too great for us. We are hands-on and willing to master our craft.
  • Give back to others. Always do the right thing for our clients and our community and humbly give back to the community where we live and work. Support our associates in times of need through ADP's Philanthropic Foundation.
  • Join a company committed to equality and equity. Our goal is to impact lasting change through our actions.
