About the role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards.


What you'll do

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Provide comprehensive medication counseling and education to patients.
  • Conduct medication therapy management and review patients' medication regimens.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all interactions and services provided.
  • Educate patients, healthcare professionals, and staff about medications and health condition
  • Ensure compliance with federal/provincial regulations and privacy requirements.
  • Provide professional counselling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
  • Utilize expanded professional services capabilities to provide optimal care.
  • Greet and assist customers, including engaging with patients via telehealth platforms.
  • Oversee workflow queues and monitor expired inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain an organized and professional work environment
  • File incident reports for any medication or privacy incidents involving customers or staff.
  • Control access to the dispensary to protect inventory and patient confidentiality.
  • Stay updated with and act on pharmacy communications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacist.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in high-volume or specialized pharmacies.
  • Experience in providing patient care for a diverse range of patients.
  • Proven track record in improving dispensing processes to enhance patient safety.
  • Registered Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care, medication therapy management, and clinical services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy systems

Schedule

  • Friday from 9:00AM to 6:00PM and Saturday 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • 15-20 hours per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $48.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
