Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION DETAILS:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.

· Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions.

· Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance using AWS CloudWatch, and Datadog.

· Ensure security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and encryption standards.

· Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications using containerization (ECS Fargate).

· Manage and optimize AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.

· Lead disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.

· Mentor junior team members and contribute to DevOps best practices and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years focused on AWS.

· Strong proficiency with AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda).

· Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

· Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and management.

· Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).

· Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

· Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).

· Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing) and security best practices.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Solutions Architect).

· Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.

· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Previous experience leading a DevOps team or mentoring engineers.
