Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor (Shift - Evening) oversees the manufacturing operation, manages employees, plans and makes changes according to production schedule, promotes safety, supports and communicates company goals, rules, and standards, to employees. Promotes lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.


Summary of Duties:


Assuming responsibility for the development and implementation of effective production Department planning, policies, and procedures.

  • Assisting Senior Management in developing short and long term goals and objectives and providing suggestions and recommendations.
  • Participating in developing Department policies and procedures and ensuring that they support and complement Company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Conducting periodic reviews of existing policies. Ensuring that policies are updated and in accordance with evolving production and quality standards.

Assuming responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of Production functions.

  • Overseeing production and assembly processes. Supervising assembly, inspection, and shipment of products.
  • Monitoring and supervising production quality, and inspection of products. Identifying problems and resolving them quickly and effectively.
  • Regulating work flow to ensure maximum production capacity. Monitoring the floor production schedule to ensure that products are completed according to deadlines.
  • Ensuring that Production functions are completed in accordance with established production, safety, and quality standards.

Effectively supervising assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Providing leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication.
  • Directing and assigning personnel. Providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Training, advising, and counselling employees on current production methods. Providing suggestions to improve performance and productivity.
  • Conducting performance appraisals as required. Formulating and implementing employee corrective actions as needed.
  • Assisting with personnel decisions including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.

Assuming responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.

  • Working closely with purchasing, and engineering departments to maintain schedules and implementing changes and revisions in operational procedures.
  • Providing assistance and support to related departments as required.
  • Keeping management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

Assuming responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Ensuring that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Staying informed of developments and changes in production techniques and methods.
  • Performing production duties as needed.
  • Completing special projects as assigned.
  • Making sure the health, safety and environment rules and policies are effectively followed and maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of College Degree or equivalent education. Additional education or training in Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 or more years in a related role.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, email, ERP system.
  • Other Skills: Individual must be well organized. Individual must possess planning and time management skills. Individual must be quality oriented and possess problem-solving skills. Individual must also have a strong understanding of production, procedures, standards, and knowledge of Quality Control Standards and systems.

Assumer les responsabilités en matière de développement et de mise en œuvre fonctionnelle de la planification, des politiques et procédures du service de la Production.

  • Aider la haute direction à établir des objectifs à court et long terme en plus d’offrir des suggestions et des recommandations.
  • Participer à l’élaboration des politiques et procédures du service de la Production et s’assurer qu’elles appuient et complètent les objectifs stratégiques à l’échelle de l’entreprise.
  • Réaliser des révisions ponctuelles des politiques existantes. S’assurer que les politiques sont à jour et respectent les normes de qualité et l’évolution des modes de production.

Assumer les responsabilités d’une réalisation efficace, rapide et exacte des fonctions de Production.

  • Superviser les processus de production et d’assemblage. Superviser l’assemblage, l’inspection et l’expédition des produits.
  • Contrôler et superviser la qualité de la production et l’inspection des produits. Cerner les problèmes et les résoudre de façon rapide et efficace.
  • Maintenir le flux de travail de façon à assurer une capacité maximale de production. Faire le suivi du calendrier de l’aire de production de façon à s’assurer que les produits sont achevés dans le respect des échéanciers.
  • S’assurer que les fonctions de la Production sont réalisées selon les normes établies en matière de qualité, de sécurité et de production.

Superviser efficacement le personnel qui lui est affecté tout en assurant son rendement optimal.

  • Faire preuve de leadership grâce à l’établissement d’objectifs, d’une délégation des tâches et d’une communication efficaces.
  • Diriger le personnel et lui affecte des tâches. Offrir son aide et son soutien au besoin.
  • Former, informer et conseiller les employés en matière de méthodes de production contemporaines. Donner des suggestions pour améliorer le rendement et la productivité.
  • Réaliser des évaluations de rendement au besoin. Formuler et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives auprès des employés, s’il y a lieu.
  • Aider à la prise de décision en matière de dotation, y compris les embauches, les congédiements, la rémunération et les promotions.

Assumer la responsabilité de préserver une communication, une coordination et des relations de travail efficaces avec le personnel et la direction de l’entreprise.

  • Collaborer étroitement avec les services des Achats et de l’Ingénierie, de façon à respecter les calendriers, mettre en œuvre des changements et des révisions en matière de procédures opérationnelles.
  • Offrir son aide et son soutien aux services connexes s’il y a lieu.
  • Tenir la direction informée des différents secteurs d’activités ou de tout problème important.

Assumer la responsabilité de toute tâche connexe, telle que requise ou assignée.

  • Vérifier que l’aire de travail est propre, sécuritaire et bien entretenue.
  • Demeurer au fait des développements et des changements en matière de techniques et méthodes de production.
  • Réaliser des tâches de production au besoin.
  • Réaliser des projets spéciaux qui lui sont assignés.
  • S’assurer que les règles et politiques en matière de santé, de sécurité et d’environnement sont suivies et respectées de façon efficace.


Qualifications :

  • Formation: Diplôme universitaire au minimum ou formation équivalente. Une formation complémentaire dans le domaine de la fabrication est préférable.
  • Experience : Minimum de 3-4 ans ou plus dans un rôle connexe.
  • Compétences informatiques : Microsoft Word, Excel, courrier électronique, système ERP.
  • Autres compétences : La personne doit être bien organisée. Elle doit posséder des compétences en matière de planification et de gestion du temps. Elle doit être orientée vers la qualité et posséder des compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes. Il doit également avoir une bonne compréhension de la production, des procédures et des normes, ainsi qu'une connaissance des normes et des systèmes de contrôle de la qualité.
