GENERAL WORK WEEK: Sunday – Thursday LOCATION: Argyle
JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
The Connections Pastor is responsible for connectingpeople to ministry, the Cross Timbers family, and connection opportunities. Themain responsibilities include but are not limited to recruiting, leading, anddeveloping Welcome Serve Team (volunteers). The Connections Pastor will have oversightof the Guest Experience for the campus. TheConnections Pastor will need a unique blend of 3 elements: pastoring people; leadingServe Team; organizational and administratively minded.

STAFFEXPECTATION:
As a condition of employment with Cross Timbers, it is essential(required) that employees and their families become active participants in thelife and ministry of CT. This includesregular attendance to services and finding a way to volunteer with a ministrynot in the scope of this job.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2-4 years of ministry experience
· Critical eye to organizational details andlogistics with the ability to lead and delegate effectively
· Ability to recruit, develop, and connect Serve Team(volunteer) to ministry programs within the church
· Willing and open to change, be flexible in avariety of situations
· A team player giving and receiving input, willingto compromise & cooperate
· Exhibit clear and effective verbal and non-verbal communicationsskills
· Ableto develop people and systems to optimize growth and effectiveness
· Forward thinker who assumes responsibility andtakes initiative
· Must possess a genuine humility and work well inthe context of a team
· Clearance of a criminal background check
PASTORAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Cross Timbers Church pastor exhibitsthe heart to pray for, provide spiritual guidance, encourage, and lead peopleto Christ. The church qualifies and commissions a pastor as an individual whohas been given the responsibility and or authority to administer in full or inpart the following:
· BiblicalTeaching to the congregation or sub-part of the congregation (i.e., kids;students; college, financial freedom)
· Leador have oversight of a church ministry, program, or department
· Performreligious/spiritual functions of the church
· Weddings
· Pastoral(not licensed) counsel
Full-timeCross Timbers Church pastors will become a part of the Pastor On-Call (POC)rotation cycle which helps the organization accomplish and meet the needs of variouspastoral aspects in the life and ministry of the church. Part-time Cross Timbers Church pastors willsupport as time allows but not be included in the POC rotation due to hourrestrictions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Executeall initiatives related to Start Here Journey utilizing all forms of socialmedia.
· Collaboratewith staff to ensure all first-time guests from previous month are invited toStart Here.
· Recruit,develop, retain and lead Serve Team for the Welcome Team.
· ChampionServe Team for the Connections team ensuring all processes and procedures arefollowed.
· Overseecreating a welcoming environment for services and events with direct oversightof ushers, greeters, hospitality team, and welcome center. Equip and empowerteam captains to lead these areas.
· Responsibilityfor scheduling volunteers ensuring all positions are covered for weekendservices utilizing PCO.
· SupportCampus Team in planning, coordinating, and executing special events.
· Liaisonwith Communications Team on lobby promotions, holiday setups, etc.
· Liaisonwith Hope Center Team on initiatives involving the Argyle Sundays such as backto school drives, adopt-a-teacher events, etc.
· Oversightof Women’s Ministry and related as approved by the Associate Pastor
- Providepa storal care to Serve Team and others as directed by Associate Pastor.
Respondto inquiries connecting people to various opportunities as the need arises.

WORK HOURS :
· Full-Time Positions - There is a 40-hourweekly work expectation for all full-time employees.
o Full-time staff work weeks are categorized by position as Monday –Friday or Sunday–Thursday.
· The established work week is Sunday throughSaturday for all payroll purposes including tracking part-time hours.
· Full-time and Regular part-time positions may beapproved for a flex schedule which includes the potential of 1-day remote working. Managers have discretion related to flexibilityin conjunction with Cross Timber’s flex practice.
· A finalized schedule will be established with theManager but typically falls within the general hours noted below.
o Monday-Friday role 8:30-5:00Monday-Thursday 8:30-2:00Friday
o Sunday-Thursday role 9:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday 7:00-1:00Sundays (varies by role)
· A 1-hour lunch break is provided and required to betaken by an employee. The actual time ofthe lunch break is determined with the manager’s input.
- Employees must understand that ministry does notalways fall within a normal schedule and working outside of that schedule canperiodically include weekends, evenings and holidays for CT sponsored events thatare essential (required). For full-timeroles, additional hours outside the normal scope may be accommodated with comptime and/or a temporary adjustment to the normal schedule where indicated. This is handled by Manager discretion.
WORK ENVIRONMENT – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Positionrequires bending, stooping, and stretching to complete various tasks, andoccasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 25-50 pounds. Work is generallyperformed indoors but may involve limited exposure to outdoor weatherconditions.
