Asset Management Advisor

About the role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the candidate will work with the Closed Sites personnel to ensure that the assets within the facilities are properly maintained, resource capacity is scheduled optimally, and the sites meet compliance guidelines within the Asset Management Framework (AMF). The candidate will also be required to identify the gaps and opportunities to improve maintenance standards, the improvement of critical equipment KPIs, and collaborate with AMF & Site teams to drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support during the implementation of the CMMS software at all NACS sites, ensuring a seamless transition and user acceptance.
  • Work with site personnel to organize, plan, and schedule the preventative and corrective maintenance work within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the sites.
  • Assist in the prioritization of critical work and building efficient work packages (team member project plans and kitting)
  • Provide regularly scheduled auditing of system operations for reporting negative trending and to supply tools and resources that promote continuous improvement.
  • Assist the site teams with standardization and improvement of fleet management.
  • Other activities as assigned by the Engineering Manager.


Qualifications:

  • Red Seal trade qualification or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Maintenance related field, or equivalent recognized industry experience.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years in maintenance planning in an industrial/mining environment including water treatment/process plants.
  • Functional support knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems and CMMS systems.
  • Flexible and able to multitask between many functions and roles on a daily basis.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to research, identify emerging problems and exceptions, and resolve issues before they become major problems.
  • Ability to operate effectively independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Ability to manage key relationships with sites' stakeholders and external contacts, with demonstrated ability to drive desired results in tense or confrontational situations.
  • Vendor/Contractor management abilities, with clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques (e.g., Root Cause Failure Analysis, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis, etc.).

Travel Requirements: Travel to sites, Toronto office, etc.: ~30% as needed.
