Scholar Montessori Academy is an authentic well established Montessori school since 1999 within the Vaughan community. It offers programs for children from 16 months to 6 years old and has two convenient locations in Vaughan.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Vaughan, ON at Scholar Montessori Academy. The Montessori Directress will be responsible for implementing the Montessori method in the classroom, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for students, and facilitating their learning and development. The Montessori Directress will also collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each student.

Qualifications

• Montessori certification from a recognized training program
• Experience working as a Montessori Directress or in a similar role
• Passion for and deep understanding of the Montessori educational philosophy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High level of professionalism and integrity
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting

Experience with various Montessori materials and knowledge of child development theories would be beneficial.
