The Network Security Coordinator is entrusted with the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's network security systems. This pivotal role involves safeguarding sensitive data, preventing unauthorized access, and mitigating potential cybersecurity threats. The Network Security Coordinator collaborates closely with IT teams, management, and external vendors to implement security protocols and monitor network activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Security Management

  • Maintain Amico comprehensive network security policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Amico chosen software to monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
  • Provide regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and resolve security issues.
  • Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus programs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Incident Response

  • Respond to security incidents, including data breaches and cyber attacks, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document and report all security incidents, including the steps taken to resolve them and the outcomes.
  • Maintain Amico's process for managing incident response and maintaining the plan to current levels to handle future security incidents.

User Training and Awareness

  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees on network security best practices and policies.
  • Develop, test, and provide subsequent training for phishing emails
  • Develop and distribute educational materials to raise awareness about cybersecurity threats.
  • Encourage a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to identify and address security needs.
  • Communicate security policies and procedures effectively to all employees.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the security of outsourced services.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network security or a related IT role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
  • Proficiency in conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
