Our expectations

Under the IT Telecom & Telephony Chief, the Network System Admin is responsible for the management and evolution of the actual network and telecommunications at RONA.

Your role

  • Work with Enterprise Architects;
  • Design detailed solutions based on Architect’s plans and required criteria;
  • Establish plans for lab tests and results presentation;
  • Write documentation on the solution and integration strategy with other systems;
  • Define Deployment strategies;
  • Support technical team over deployment tasks and operations;
  • Place support requests to designated vendors and suppliers;
  • Document knowledge base in an incident-oriented approach;
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning;
  • Stay current on networking technologies;
  • Train support team on optimal application usage in telecom services;
  • Participate in off-hours support rotations.
The qualifications we are looking for
  • College degree or University degree in IT or equivalent;
  • 5 years of experience on National WANs based on MPLS or SD-WAN;
  • 8 to 10 years of proven experience in Cisco networking, VXLAN, BGP, IWAN, QoS;
  • 5 to 8 years experience in Cisco FirePower, DM-VPN;
  • Cisco ACI experience is a plus;
  • Cisco certifications are a plus;
  • Experience in Citrix ADC Load balancers is a plus;
  • Python scripting in a network environment is a plus;
  • Experience with Cloud services is a plus;
  • ITIL Process experience;
  • Problem resolution abilities;
  • Well-organized;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Teamwork is a must;
  • Ability to popularize and communicate knowledge;
  • Self-learning ability;
  • Ability to adapt to changes;
  • Able to work outside of regular hours, be on call in rotation with team;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools including Teams.
