Job Summary

The Detailer provides hands-on service to Big Box Retail stores, setting up company displays, ensuring adequate inventory levels and resolving day-to-day customer and store issues.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Visit designated stores weekly, merchandising inventory, sorting bins and attending to general housekeeping duties. Stores may change based on business demands.
  2. Prepare and process new orders using company issued equipment.
  3. Ensure proper product inventory levels.
  4. Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of the designated store manager and Detailer Supervisor.
  5. Work as a liaison between big box stores and the corporate headquarters.
  6. Comply with company policies and procedures.
  7. Follow store safety rules and work in a safe and healthy manner.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. 3-5 years in a retail vendor or big box environment or related experience.
  2. Excellent computer skills (MS Office) specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
  3. Strategic thinker, good communicator, and exceptional problem solver.
  4. Performs function with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
  5. Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.

Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
