You as a Health and Safety Coordinator - Buildings Division will be responsible for:

  1. Safety orientation, job site inspections, and accident/injury reports.
  2. Organizing and conducting training programs including but not limited to:
  1. WHMIS
  2. Fall Protection
  3. Personal Protection Equipment
  4. CPR/First Aid
Monitoring employees and subcontractors on-site to ensure compliance with safety procedures and escalating issues to resolution. Proactively identifying and preventing hazardous situations and taking necessary measures to correct them. Delegating and influencing others to follow safety rules and regulations.

Is this the right role for you?

  1. You have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in managing health and safety within construction.
  2. You are working towards, or are already a certified member under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a large-scale construction site.
  3. You hold a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate.
  4. A college degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or a related topic would be a benefit.
  5. Experience with COR process certification would be an advantage.
  6. You are willing to travel and have a valid driver's license.
