Time and Payroll Analyst

We are currently seeking a Time and Payroll Analyst to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

This is a full-time, permanent, unionized position. The position will be based in Falconbridge, Ontario. Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities:

  1. Maintains open communications with departments to ensure unionized employees are properly paid in accordance with the collective agreements and Employment Standards.
  2. Exports all payroll and time related data from SIMS to SAP.
  3. Responsible for the processing of the unionized bi-weekly, nickel and performance bonus off-cycle payrolls.
  4. Assists in the preparation of the monthly mines production incentive bonus working with Management and Supervisors to ensure its completeness and accuracy.

About You:

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your growth in this role.

Education and Skills:

  1. Minimum three-year College diploma specializing in business.
  2. Successfully completed the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) through the Canadian Payroll Association’s Certificate Program.
  3. Five years of payroll experience.
  4. General knowledge of accounting and mining terminologies required.
  5. Proficient in the use of personal computers, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and SIMS.
  6. Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
  7. Strong public speaking skills.
  8. Ability to handle stress and work without direct supervision.
  9. Respect for the confidential nature of this work.
