About Us: CATC is Canada’s largest network of privately operated addiction treatment centres. 1000 Islands Treatment Centre is a 53-bed inpatient addiction and mental health treatment facility located in Mallorytown, ON. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Director to lead our medical and clinical teams in maintaining the highest clinical care standards while fostering an inclusive and compassionate environment.
Role Overview: As the Clinical Director, you will be a key leader in our organization, responsible for overseeing a multi-disciplinary team providing medical and therapeutic services for patients under the guidance of the Medical Director and the Executive Director. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, optimal patient experiences, and alignment with our mission and vision. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong community relationships with strategic referral partners and referring professionals.
Detailed Accountabilities:
Patient Care:
· Oversee all clinical services required by residents throughout their treatment and preparing them for post treatment clinical, employment, and family reengagement.
· Promote an inclusive and diverse approach to patient care, considering individual and cultural needs.
· Supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of psychotherapists, counsellors, nurses, and support staff.
Clinical Quality Assurance:
· Ensure clinical quality aligns with program standards, CARF policies, and our organizational mission and vision.
· Review and update clinical and medical policies and procedures as needed to enhance the patient experience.
Resident Outcome Evaluation:
· Evaluate treatment outcomes, identifying trends and recommending improvements or follow-up care.
Community Relationships:
· In collaboration with Business Development team, build and maintain positive community relationships with referral partners, clinical referents, and the local community.
Ideal Attributes and Qualifications:
Clinical Expertise:
· Previous experience and education as a nurse, counselor or psychotherapist, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in addiction treatment.
· At least three years of experience managing a team in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Effective Communication:
· Exhibit a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with patients, family members, referents, co-workers, external agencies, and healthcare providers.
· Prioritize clear and empathetic communication, embracing diversity in all interactions.
Operational Proficiency:
· Demonstrate strong multitasking skills and a deep understanding of facility operations, whether in a hospital or addiction inpatient treatment setting.
· Apply a diverse and inclusive perspective to facility operations.
